Coming Soon: JASP Support for the Book “Six Sigma in Practice”

Six Sigma training companies are starting to offer their courses with JASP. This is great, but it presents an immediate challenge in the sense that training materials and books need to be translated to JASP. In the past few weeks, we have spoken to two training companies in the Netherlands, and we have decided to help them “JASPify” their materials. By doing this we hope to create a scenario in which everybody wins: the industries who send their employees to Six Sigma training courses have the attractive option to use an open-source software program that can be freely installed on all compony computers; the training companies can offer courses in JASP more effectively; and the JASP Services company profits from the increased exposure of the JASP program.

The training company that I want to mention in this post is “The Lean Six Sigma Company“, who use the book “Six Sigma in Practice” (also available in Dutch: “Six Sigma in de Praktijk” authored by Rijk Schildmeijer and Paul Suijkerbuijk.  The “Six Sigma in Practice” book features numerous data sets that serve as examples to showcase key analysis procedures. In the next series of posts I will demonstrate how these analysis procedures can be executed with JASP. The Pareto chart will be discussed next, so stay tuned 🙂
