Quality Control

JASP contains a comprehensive set of features for Statistical Process Control. Whether you’re monitoring production stability, evaluating measurement consistency, or optimizing your manufacturing processes, JASP provides a streamlined toolkit tailored to all Quality Control needs. The Quality Control module covers all core elements and many additional options — easy to use, fully documented, and visually rich.

Control Charts

Track process performance over time using a range of control charts, including X̄-r, X̄-s, Individuals-Moving Range (I-MR), p-charts, and many more. Built-in and modifiable rules for detecting special cause variation help identify issues early and prevent costly deviations. Charts are easily annotated and exported, making them ideal for routine process monitoring.

Measurement Systems Analysis

Determine whether your measurement systems are accurate and consistent. JASP supports Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (Gauge R&R) studies, with visual outputs like variance component charts and operator-by-part plots. The interface guides you through setup and interpretation of the Measurement System Analysis, even for complex designs.

Capability Analysis

Assess how well your processes meet specification limits using capability indices like Cp, Cpk, Pp, and Ppk. JASP provides clear histograms, normality plots, and goodness-of-fit diagnostics to ensure your capability analysis is valid and informative — even with skewed or non-normal data.

Design of Experiments

Optimize your processes through planned experimentation. JASP’s DOE tools support full and fractional factorial designs, and response surface design. It includes the ability to fully specify your analysis model, including quadratic terms. Easy model building, output summaries, effect plots and the built-in response optimizer help you turn data into actionable improvements.
