How JASP is Used in our Training

In my Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training program, I have transitioned from Minitab to JASP as the main software for statistical analysis. I specifically use JASP in modules covering hypothesis testing (t-tests, ANOVA), regression analysis, normality assessments, and control charts.

Participants conduct hands-on exercises with real or simulated manufacturing data to build SPC charts, perform process capability analysis (Cp, Cpk), and run descriptive statistics, all within JASP. I also guide them through graphical exploration using JASP’s integrated plots and effect size interpretation.

I have developed my own instructional materials aligned with JASP’s interface and outputs, and I dedicate significant training time to ensuring learners are comfortable using JASP for both project execution and reporting. Based on feedback, trainees find JASP intuitive, efficient, and a viable alternative to commercial software for quality-related decision-making.
